Former governor of Delta state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, is now packing his belongings to leave the United Kingdom where he has served his jail term.

Amori, in a text message to our correspondent, said there is no more legal encumbrances on Ibori’s return home.

He said: “He is packing his things now in the United Kingdom and properly settling his family down before jetting home to Nigeria. All hurdles have been completely surmounted and he is now a free man. You can count your fingers on when he will arrive Nigeria.

“Once he his family is settled, he will board the next available flight to Nigeria where he is expected to be welcomed by friends and well-wishers across the political divide. We can now authoritatively say ‘Ibori bon voyage to your fatherland this February 2017.”

Fred Latimore on the other hand, also said that the UK court has cleared the way for him to return home.

He said: “What is left now is for Ibori to decide on the day he will leave for home. Ibori’s well-wishers and friends are now putting heads together to receive him.

“He is willing to come back home. It’s just for him to decide now when to come back home, all the legal hurdles have been removed.
