President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, May 5, attended Friday’s Juma'at service at the State House Abuja.
This would be the president's first public appearance in two weeks as his absence from public view is raising fresh doubts about his health status. President Buhari for the third time in a row, was absent at this week's Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, thus raising speculations that his health might have deteriorated. According to the minister of information, Lai Mohammed, Buhari’s doctors have advised him to take some rest.
This will be the first time the president is making a public appearance in 2weeks.
There have been widespread rumours regarding the presidents health status in past weeks whereby suggestions were coming from far and near that the president should take a medical leave.
The president appearance at the villa mosque is a suprise to many who believe the president is critically ill, and Nigerians have been reacting across various social media platform asking if this is what the president was elected to do.
