Veteran Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkarim recently shared his sentiments regarding the Nigerian music industry.

Speaking in an interview with HipTV, Eedris said artistes like him paved way for the likes of Don Jazzy to make money in Nigeria and should be accorded with the respect they deserved.

The Nigerian born rapper claimed he was the reason why Nigeria musicians are well paid now.

Back then foreign entertainers where giving more respect by both Nigerians and corporate organisations compared to now where our local entertainers are getting multi-million naira deals from organisations and are well respected and celebrated by Nigerians.

Few years back when you visit clubs in Nigeria they play foreign music and you'll hardly hear any Nigeria HipHop songs aside from other genre of songs loved by Nigerians.
