Chelsea's Antonio Conte: My job is to win, not make my players happy

Antonio Conte insists his priority at Chelsea is to win and not keep all his players happy.

Big personalities such as captain John Terry and Cesc Fabregas have therefore been starved of game time, but Conte has challenged his squad players to put pressure on him to make changes.

"When he doesn't start in the lineup, he's not happy, but not only John, or Cesc, or Pedro, or [Eden] Hazard," Conte said ahead of the FA Cup tie against Wolves. "I want the player to try to fight to put me under pressure, to give me the problems to solve [and find] the best solutions for the team.

Revealed: Reasons why people smoke even when they know the health implication

According to Garry kavanagh answering to a question asked by Micheal Adeniyi on quora.

Smoking is both highly addictive, and highly habit forming. It is important to make the distinction, as they both operate on different neurological and psychological mechanisms. They are habit forming because people construct little rituals around smoking… they have specific times that they smoke, which reinforces the desire to smoke at these times. Also, until relatively recently, smoking was seen as ‘siocially acceptable’. There are not too many highly addictive and physically damaging drugs that have both the acceptance of society and the massive marketing weight of the tobacco industry driving their use.

3 Painfully Accurate Human Behaviors In The Primate World

Human beings have technology, politics, art; monkeys fling poo. Clearly, they're doing something right, and we're doing something wrong. And yet those poor simian sons of bitches are mistakenly following in our footsteps right now: archaeologists in Thailand investigated a community of macaques who developed stone tools to break open shellfish. In the nearby jungles and rainforests, chimpanzees and capuchin monkeys have been doing the same thing to crack open nuts. Now, to be clear, the animals aren't just seeing a rock and deciding to fuck something up with it -- they're learning from experience and passing down knowledge, which is just another way of saying they have technology. Which is just another way of saying they'll soon have unsatisfying jobs in IT and erectile dysfunction. See, it turns out monkeys are just as screwed up as we are, and in some remarkably similar ways ...

Trump -- under fire -- returns to the campaign

President Donald Trump is taking his fate into his own hands.
Reeling from a week that included the firing of his national security adviser, the withdrawal of a Cabinet nominee and persistent questions over contacts between his campaign and Russia, Trump is aiming to regain control of his nascent administration by putting himself back in the spotlight.
The centerpiece of the effort: a return to the scorched-earth politics that served him so well on the campaign trail. That was on display Thursday when Trump cranked up the political theater during an extraordinary news conference that transferred the seething air of grievance from his campaign rallies to the ornate splendor of the East Room of the White House.
He'll continue his campaign-style reboot Saturday with a rally in Florida, reuniting with the devoted supporters who view Trump as a political crusader dedicated to the obliteration of Washington's elites.

This Photo of A Single Mother Who Dressed As A Man To Attend Her Son’s ‘Dads’ Day’ School Event Is the Sweetest Thing Ever

A single mother from Utah posted a photo of herself dressed up as a man for an event (Dads and Doughnuts) at her son’s school – and the internet is loving it.

Whitney Kittrell who became a single mom over 3 years ago has been doing everything to be a mom and a dad to her kids.

Whitney took to Facebook recently to share an emotional situation of where she had to dress up like a man to satisfy her son at his event in school.

When I became a single mom over 3 years ago I made a promise with myself that I would do anything I could, even if it meant going out of my comfort zone, to give my kids a “normal” life and the same experiences as other kids. We have accomplished a lot. Trips alone, teaching my son how to play catch, killing bugs with minimal screaming, countless memories, and a normal life.

But when my kindergartner came home with a paper saying that they were having “dads and doughnuts” my heart kinda sank. I finally sat him down and asked if he wanted to ask his grandpa to go. He just smiled and said “no. I want you to go. You’re my mom and dad”.

So this morning I gathered up my best dad outfit, painted on some facial hair, and went to breakfast with my sweet son. I was so embarrassed but I couldn’t help but smile when he introduced me to his little friends saying “this is my mom… she’s my dad too so I brought her!”

I’ve tried my best to let them know they are loved but I wonder a lot if I’m actually succeeding at it. When I went to leave he ran after me and hugged me tight around my neck and whispered “mom… I know that you’ll always be there and do anything for me. Thank you. I love you” kissed my cheek and ran off. I hope he remembers this day cause I’ll never forget it or his sweet words. #singlemom#dadsanddoughnuts #myforever #lovewhatmatters

Trump backs off two-state framework for Israeli-Palestinian deal

President Donald Trump rejected the long-established US framework for Middle East peacemaking at a White House visit with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Wednesday as he announced his desire to reach "the ultimate deal."
In staking his claim to a prize that has eluded many a leader before him, Trump previewed the nascent outlines of an approach that -- if he sticks with it -- ditches bipartisan orthodoxy, borrows some old ideas and, Middle East experts say, will be no easier to pull off now than in the past.
As Trump declared his deep support for the Jewish state, he abandoned the bedrock principle that the solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will come via two states for two peoples. Instead, he referred to the possibility of an Arab-backed peace process, an idea that's been floating around since the beginning of this century without producing results.

“The double quarters of negative growth, high level of inflation, worsening purchasing power of the Naira and the increasing levels of unemployment are all strong indicators that all is not well.

“Today, some of our people can no longer afford to feed. Some school children are dropping out of school due to inability of parents to pay school fees.

“There is general anguish on the faces of Nigerians due to poverty and hunger.

“We cannot continue to lament. The problems are well known. At this point in time, it is the solutions that matters more and that is what should engage our attention.

Liverpool's Sadio Mane didn't reject Spurs move because of wages - agent

Sadio Mane's agent has dismissed suggestions that the Liverpool forward rejected a summer move to Tottenham Hotspur due to his wage demands.

Mane scored twice as Liverpool ended Tottenham's 11-match unbeaten run with a 2-0 victory at Anfield on Saturday, moving the Reds to within a point of second-place Spurs.

In the summer, a source told ESPN FC that Tottenham tried to sign Mane from Southampton and Newcastle United midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, but both players ended up at Liverpool after Spurs were put off by their transfer fees and wage demands.

Mane cost £30 million and is paid a reported £130,000-a-week -- more than any Tottenham player -- while Wijnaldum could eventually cost Liverpool £25m.

However, Mane's agent Bjorn Bezemer told the Guardian that the Senegal international received similar offers from five clubs but opted for Liverpool for the chance to work with manager Jurgen Klopp.

"Sadio had five offers in the summer and financially all of them were good," Bezemer said.

"We wanted the right team, with the right coach at the right moment to arrive at the next level. That is the reason Sadio went to Anfield."
